MUSLIM LADIES ASSOCIATION

Muslim Ladies Association was established in 1975 by a group of dedicated and service minded Cutchi Mem-on ladies to bring together the womenfolk of their com-munity on a common platform so that they can often meet each other and solve their problems collectively, The enthusiasm and dedication of ladies behind this organization was so inspiring that more than a hundr-ed women registered themselves as its members from the very beginning. The Association has been registe-red under the Charitable Societies Act. and has rende-red valuable services for the benefit and betterment of the women and chilren of the community as a whole.
Abad Charitable Trust had given, free of rent, a two storey building for the use of this Association, Here cooking classes and Deeni Taaleem lectures were held every month by skilled and experienced ladies for the benefit of the members.
During Ramadhan the Association collects zakath and distributes among destitute women. The Association also provides financial assistance to chronically ill women for their treatment. Financial help is also provi-ded to deserving women for the purchase of sewing machines in order that they could be settled in life.
Since 1994 the Association is running an Orphanage under the name Crescent Girls Ophanage in the same premises. The destitute girls are iven free boarding and lodging together with necessary wearing apparel and medical care.
